Jun 28-29 Field Day and Test Session Comments
Wow! What a Field Day the club had. The best I've seen in four participations and from what I heard the best of any for the club. At last count I saw we had 46 people cycle through the site. Good operators and a good time was had by all. Special thanks go to Mike K0TIS and his wife Deborah KI4NRV for getting things going and for the food. We had two participants at the test session with one new General and one new Extra. Congratulations guys.
July 2008
No meeting scheduled for the month of July
Due to Field Day being the last full weekend in June, we do not have a scheduled meeting during the month of July. The next meeting will be August 5.
July 12 - 8:00 AM SwapFest
Our club and the Elizabethton Airport are co-sponsoring a SwapFest at the Elizabethton Airport parking lot on Saturday, July 12 at 8:00 AM. We plan to have hot coffee, baked goods and hot dogs for sale. Come one, come all. Remember: your junk could be someone else's treasure. Or just come on by to see everyone and say Hi. There is no admission fee.
